Thermal Transfer Labels
Thermal print labels are used in conjunction with THERMAL TRANSFER printing machines which are installed in many thousands of sites around the World. We produce these labels for use in most of the popular printers available.
They are primarily used to print additional information onto partly printed adhesive labels. Detail such as product ingredients, nutritional information, random weights, batch numbers and packaging dates, product barcodes, address labels for cartons to name just a few of the possibilities that are printed with these machines.
Some customers may want their label partly printed with blank areas left for variable information to be input by their printers, whilst others may only want them to be supplied completely blank. Either way you can obtain then from Labelpress in virtually any size or shape.
There are 2 types of Thermal printer labels. Either Direct Thermal labels or Thermal Transfer labels.
Direct Thermal labels are manufactured from heat sensitive paper that turns the print black when it it is subjected to heat from a printing head inside the printer. The most common use for these labels is in butchers weighing scales and in Supermarkets in their Deli, Butchery and Bakery departments.
Thermal Transfer labels are ones that are printed with the use of a Wax or Wax/Resin printer ribbon. The print on hese labels is produced as a result of the wax being melted to form the image as it is passed over a heated printing head inside the printer.
